Terms and Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

By purchasing, downloading, or using any product or content from Cowgirl Crafty (cowgirlcrafty.com), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site or purchase products.

We've kept this as short as we reasonably can. The legal parts are real; the plain-English parts mean what they say.

1. Who We Are

Cowgirl Crafty is a California limited liability company operating out of the East Bay, California.

Contact: hello@cowgirlcrafty.com

2. Digital Pattern License

When you purchase a digital pattern from Cowgirl Crafty, you're purchasing a license to use that design β€” not ownership of the design itself.

You may:

  • Load and use the pattern on your own longarm quilting machine
  • Use the pattern for personal projects, client quilts, exhibition quilts, or gifts
  • Resize, rotate, mirror, or crop the file for stitching purposes
  • Stitch the design an unlimited number of times
  • Sell finished quilts made with the pattern

You may not:

  • Share, resell, gift, loan, or transfer the digital file to any other person
  • Upload or distribute the file via email, cloud storage, file-sharing platforms, USB drives, or social media
  • Include the file in classes, kits, subscription services, or digital libraries
  • Trace, redraw, reverse engineer, or recreate the design for redistribution
  • Use the pattern or any derivative of it to train artificial intelligence models
  • Claim any modified version of the design as original work

This license is non-transferable. A change of business ownership does not transfer design rights. Teaching, institutional, or commercial production use requires a separate written licensing agreement β€” contact us before proceeding.

All designs are original works protected by U.S. and international copyright law. Cowgirl Crafty retains full ownership and all rights.

3. File Compatibility

Patterns are provided in the formats listed on each product page. It is your responsibility to confirm your machine's software supports the format you select before purchasing. We're happy to help point you in the right direction before you buy β€” email us at hello@cowgirlcrafty.com. Format mismatches are not grounds for a refund.

4. File Security & Data Loss

Back up your files. We are not responsible for lost, corrupted, or deleted files. If you experience a catastrophic data loss, reach out β€” we'll do our best to help recover patterns purchased from us, but this is not a guaranteed service.

5. Products & Pricing

We make every effort to accurately describe and display our products. Colors on screen may vary from printed or stitched output. All products are subject to availability. Prices may change at any time without notice. The price at checkout is the price you pay β€” we don't retroactively apply promotions or sales.

We accept: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All transactions are in U.S. dollars.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion.

6. Returns & Refunds

Please review our Return Policy before purchasing. All digital sales are final. Physical product returns are accepted only for damaged or defective items per the terms of that policy.

7. Content & Intellectual Property

Everything on this site β€” patterns, designs, images, text, and artwork β€” is the original work of Cowgirl Crafty and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, republish, or repurpose any of it without written permission.

If you'd like to feature our patterns in a blog post, review, or social content, we'd love that β€” just credit Cowgirl Crafty and link back to cowgirlcrafty.com.

If you believe any content on this site infringes your copyright, contact us at hello@cowgirlcrafty.com with details of the alleged infringement.

8. Content Suitability

Some products may not be suitable for all audiences. We reserve the right to restrict access to certain products or content at our discretion.

9. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the site or its content for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access, copy, scrape, or harvest site content or data through automated means
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or disruptive content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the site to compete with us or resell access to our content
  • Interfere with the security or functionality of the site

10. Disclaimer

The site and all products are provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cowgirl Crafty disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of any content on this site.

11. Limitation of Liability

Cowgirl Crafty is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or our products β€” including machine errors, stitching issues, quilt damage, or business losses.

Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the lesser of the amount you paid us in the six months prior to the claim, or $300 USD. Some states do not allow these limitations β€” if that applies to you, some or all of this section may not apply.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cowgirl Crafty and its owners, officers, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

13. Dispute Resolution

We'd rather sort things out directly. If you have a dispute, contact us first at hello@cowgirlcrafty.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in California. You waive any right to a jury trial or class action. IP disputes, claims of theft or piracy, and requests for injunctive relief are excluded from arbitration and may be brought directly in court.

Any dispute must be filed within one year of the cause of action arising.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any court proceedings will be held in California.

15. California Users

If you have an unresolved complaint, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. The current version is always at cowgirlcrafty.com/terms-and-conditions. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
